The level of infant mortality in mother and baby homes is “shocking to the extreme” and should prompt a criminal investigation, Amnesty International Ireland has said. Colm O’Gorman, its executive director, called for “full justice and reparations for survivors” including the introduction of the “promised redress scheme”.
