Human rights violations in mother and baby homes should prompt criminal inquiry, says Amnesty

The level of infant mortality in mother and baby homes is “shocking to the extreme” and should prompt a criminal investigation, Amnesty International Ireland has said. Colm O’Gorman, its executive director, called for “full justice and reparations for survivors” including the introduction of the “promised redress scheme”.
